Question for you engine guys

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this or not (first post), but I'm looking at a 03 Duramax truck, but I'm a little leary about it. The price is right regardless, but the current owner says it has bent pushrods. IF that is the case, what all damage would I be looking at (worst case scenario), and what do you think it would cost to fix? Also, I don't know anything about the truck, except that it has an Allison Transmission. I don't know the engine code (sorry, more of a cummins guy for now but hoping to transfer here), and what are the weak points of this truck? It's a 2500 if that helps.

Thanks in advance for any advice, help you can give, and hoping to soon be another member of the Duramax family.

03 is an lb7, if the rod is bent you're looking at an engine rebuild. if you want to do it on the cheap guys are usually selling good used parts for a few bills, then obviously you have head gasket/s and bearings seals etc.

Thanks for the replies! I'm not worried about doing engine work at all, it's what I do every day. I just wasn't sure if the duramax is/was an interference engine. I also didn't know if it would be a super expensive fix or not, getting this truck is pretty much tapping me out for a little bit so I want to make sure I can get it, and have it on the road for the money I have so I can have a DD truck (my current car isn't a very good winter dd).
