I'm thinking of switching to it on my next oil change.

What oil are you guys running and what is your experience with it?

I've never been comfortable with the CJ-4 oils.

I found that the Moly Bond x200 15-40 is still CI rated and I liked the "theory" of the moly bonding.

Current oil your running is "better" than the oil your looking at, IMO.

What I have learned is that you need to look at the CST @ 100C. The minimum number a 15-40 viscosity oil should be is a 14.5. The Scheaffer's is a 14. (im sure it's a 16 if it's a 5-30 but not a 15-40) Your oil now is is 15.6. So, honestly, your oil exceeds the cleanliness minimum, while scheaffers meets it.

Then comes the oil sample, you want your same CST's to be as close to the "new" number as you can, lower CST's means the oil is breaking down, which all will do, some at a faster rate, some less. The highest viscostiy I have seen for a 15-40 is the Canadian oil I run, Petro Canada. Oil samples have proven my theory of cleaning up the soot in the oil.

I'm not following you... What have pulling samples done for the soot level in the oil?

I have a case of it here...I'm gonna run it for 10k and do an oil analysis on it and see how it does....in the dmax and VW lol.
