I know this has probably been gone over before but I couldn't find it. Is the Transgo Jr worth putting in the 5 speed allison? Some I have talked to say yes and some say no, so I thought I would ask here and see what everyone thinks.

The trans has 175k on it as far as I know, and I have limped it a few times. I know I will end up building it, just don't have the funds right now. Just trying to get a few more months out of it. But I don't want to waste the money if it isn't going to help it last a little longer.
but doesnt the sc4 kit come with a trans-go?

The OP's question was is it going to help him right now... Mike said because he has already done damage to his clutches it will not help...???
i wasnt arguing with mike. just giving a reason he could buy it now. if he has the money for the trans go now it would make the trans build that much cheaper when he does decide to build it:thumb:

i just ordered a new one on ebay for the six speed for 65.00. My truck has 70,000 miles on it with some pretty tough treatment, but i figured it wouldn't hurt. I was readin a thread on here the other week about it, and it had like a whole installation description and pictures. anybody remember that thread?
