Question about FASS titanium

I looked at some videos of air dog install and it was nice cause everything looked like push lock, is the FASS titanium like that too? I ask because if it is I was thinking when I get mine to make a supplemental line that if the pump fails you can pop off the lines from the FASS and basically jumper around it. Is that possible? Oh and do they recommend removal of the stick fuel filter too?

Also u can delete the factory head or run a cat filter with adapter. I perfer the cat filter as you will hardly ever have to change it and it's a 20$ piece of mind compared to 4k for new injectors.

FASS makes a kit that you screw into the factory head that's what I was gonna go with. I know without a lift pump you don't wanna run too many filters cause of restrictions but would leaving a stock filter head with a good coalescing filter be bad or detrimental to the lift pump?

You won't hurt anything leaving a filter in the stock location. I recommend leaving either a stock filter (or better still the CAT filter conversion) on for at least 5,000 miles to purge any debris out of the lines from the lift pump to the stock filter head before removing the filter.

If you install the lift pump and remove the stock filter at the same time, you have about 10' of fuel line full of unfiltered fuel & years of residue on the walls of the line, that will get pushed straight into your CP3!

I ran an AirDog and the stock filter for years before the stock filter head started leaking badly enough I just ripped it out. But until you have a problem with it, I would be inclined to leave it for peace of mind. It won't hurt flow in any meaningful way with the pressure of the lift pump behind it.

I would leave the stock filter. Like rancelot211 said, you hardly ever have to change it after a lift pump. I personally like how air dog mounts better, to the frame and hidden. I don't like how fass mounts in front of the rear tire where it gets hit with stones and dirt. Thats really the only difference for me. I've had both.

O from videos I have seen the FASS mounts to outside of frame rails in front of rear tire and air dog months under the bed in front of the fuel tank is that correct?

The AirDog's recommended mounting spot is in front of the fuel tank inside the frame, but they give you enough hose to put it just about anywhere you want. On my brother's truck, we put it outside the frame under the driver's door, so it was easy to change the filters.

I'll go with the FASS I can get a 150ghp with a aluminum sump for $661. The air dog 2 4g are way more expensive and from what I have read are pretty much the same.
