Quesrtions on GMC Savanna with a Duramax?

I didn't know where to get started...hope this works though. I am looking at buying a GMC Savanna w/ a Duramax...my question is, I have heard that the van has just the straight diesel w/ no turbo or intercooler... is that true? I need a van as opposed to a P/U...but want the Duramax and want to mod it...for power and MPG. Thanks for whatever help I can get.

has both turbo and intercooler its just detuned and a diffrent trans i belive

I've tuned a few vans. Understand they don't have an Allison, so they can't handle as big of a tune unless you build up the transmission.
