pulling hitch pics,,

I'm posting these up to get opinions and gauge interest with the possibility of making and selling them. Tell me what you think. The main t part of the hitch is cut from solid 1" plate then the two 1" flat pieces are welded together and machined on a mill to fit.

yeah it works great but for a simple hitch, i have a lot of time and money in them. Think $250 shipped would be in line? It's a heavy SOB but taken apart in will fit in a large priority mail shipping box which is like $15 i think.

That's not real bad if it meets the weight limit. Might talk to Kat though, I don't want you to get burned for not being a vendor here man.

and i would like to add I have a fab guy I use that has built a few of these for me but stopped because he said they cost to much to make. If I found out he plagiarized your design, I will stop having my fab work done there.
I would not have posted this had i known it may have been a copied design.
He builds traction bars, weight brackets and some other stuff for me and I'm kinda pissed and embarrassed that he'd do a thing like this. We looked at and toyed with other designs and i was tickled when he showed me this hitch he built for me. fu*k I'm burnt up over this right now!

I cannot keep anybody from making a hitch like this. It is a little upsetting because I have some money in these things and did get much money out of them yet.
I would be a sponser on here but you cannot be a sponser everywhere(it gets kind of expensive).

Well, even if you can't keep it from happening, I'm not gonna be the one supporting a copied product. I'm sure you have plenty in the design and I know what they cost me to make. Hell I could copy lots of parts if I wanted but I just cant bring myself to do it. I sell Super Diesel parts all day I could copy but don't feel right about doing it so I don't.
But I will say they work very well and while i wont be selling or making more now, I hope you don't mind if I continue using the ones i have?? My guy has made 4-5 for me I think. He'll be over here today getting an injection pump and head studs and I'll find out where he got his plans from.

you dont need to get rid of yours keep using them
that doesnt bother me
I am just hoping I can keep on selling them on my website

matt, stand up move on your part bud. Speaks volumes about the type of guy you are. Your sincere apologies are something few would have done in your shoes even though you didn't intentionally mean to be copying anything. Kudos for doing the right thing. Refreshing seeing folks with good morals these days. :thumb: :beer
