This is just an FYI.
If you have a big tune and you are going to get your truck worked on. Remove the tune. Your tune will be copied by the tech and sold as his own.
If you have a locked tune and when you get your truck back it does wierd shit; a down load was attempted and your tune is corrupted.
Trust no one with your tunes.

I didnt know that trying to download a tune with a non-efi live downloader would cause problems

Good advice mike i gave some tunes to a guy on dp and found out later he had a performance shop i garentee he has sold my tunes :( , when i have given them to many people for free . i think i know who your are talking about i know who worked on your truck last it is sad .

I agree with Steve, Excellent advice.

I do however trust my truck at Mikes shop :D

Never said it happened to me. I am in touch with a lot of people around the country and it is getting bad. My tune was a moonshine which was locked. I have since removed that tune and replaced it with Pat's tune to hunt down a problem which had nothing to do with the tune.. Pat's is not locked but no one will ever get near it.

its ashame few lowly people ruin it for everyone. Good advice .

I used to get mail order tuning for my turbo gas truck, then got HP tuners and could never change anything if needed due to a locked PCM. Every change ment sending the PCM back which got pricey but i dont blame the Tuner.
