Personally.....for that price I would get efi live, iirc it is $850 new now.

If you want a "canned tuner" PPE is the best imo. Check to verify the "new price" the seller has listed, to be sure it is a deal.

It is ultimately up to you.

I personally prefer the adjustability and custom tuning of EFI. I am a perfectionist and like to be able to tune and adjust a custom tune to work specifically how I want it to, or feel it should, work. EFI has a fairly steep learning curve, although the experts on this site have helped me greatly with the different parameters and their affects on performance. EFI also offers switchable tuning via the flashscan or a dsp switch, using (5 or 2 depending on the switch) custom tunes.
EFI, as of now, requires a laptop but stand alone tuning is scheduled for release this year.

The PPE offers proven tunes in an easy to use package. Just load it and go, no experimenting necessary, and no learning the exact functions of your ecm. But, if the tune doesn't work as you want it to there is little to adjust. You can adjust rev limiter, defuel, speed limiter, and tire size iirc.

Just do some research and go from there. I would call Pat(McRat) he sells, and has used, PPE products as well as EFI.

BTW - Maybe a mod could move this to the tuning section, might get more replies there.

EFI is not for everyone. PPE will get you HP numbers that will compete with anything on the market, and driveability that is second to none.
