PPE xcelerator programmer?

I have a buddy who is going to sell it to me and ive seen the gains on the site and i know the 220hp setting cant be safe for the tranny so does anyone have any advice or anything on this programmer? (03 duramax stock)

For a stock trans, run it on level 1,2, or 3. Level 4 will give you better mileage, and as long as you keep your foot out of it, you can make your trans last. I ran mine on level 4 for quite some time, other than towing, and at 20,000 miles when I had my trans built, the stock clutches showed obvious signs of getting worn. As for the PPE programmer, a great product and I never have any problems. My truck now has almost 100K on it.......but at level 6
