PPE wont switch trucks

I just took my ppe standard out of my truck and went to put it in a buddys it wouldnt allow me to because my vin was saved. I do make it so i can put it in a diffrent truck?

Sounds like it's still vin locked to your truck. Putting your truck back to stock should allow you to put it on your buddy's.

My PPE instructions say: go to "Diag Options" and then select "Back To Stock" This will restore the truck back to stock completely. It also says if you just go to "Stock Tune" the programmer will remain locked to your truck. "Back To Stock" should be used if you want to use the programmer on another vehicle. Hope this helps.

theres a way to program to truck by fooling it i did it with my ppe a long time ago to me and my brother in laws truck i just forgot how...i think you go to dignostics on the truck and back out or something like that

With a hand held you can only have 1 truck tuned at a time with it. Once the PPE pulls your stock tune it switchs out the parts it needs for the level you pick then loads the modded tune into the truck. The 100% stock tune from your truck is held in the hand held.
