Stock truck other then K&N air filter. Looking for fuel economy every little bit helps.

Which programmer would be best or should I spend money on hardware changes vs software?

save yourself money in the long run and go with efilive. PPE is alright but is still just another canned tuner and duramileage is a joke.

PPE gets my vote for what your looking for. EFI is great but its not for everyone. PPE will easily give you a couple miles per gallon better fuel mileage. Although EFI gives more flexibility, It can be a nightmare if you get bad tuning. Been there done that.

EFI with a Autocal would be your best spent money. Great tunes , ability to clear /read codes and the ability to data log engine events. No tuner on the market can come close to EFI live and the Autocal is even easier to use than the other precanned tuners like PPE or the likes. Not to mention it is even cheaper than a comparable PPE tuner. It would take the best they have to offer to start a comparison.
