so my truck started then died after about 15 seconds last night. found my wif sensor dripping so figured out why it wont crank without the fuel/pressure. BUT before I saw that I went to change tunes from level 3 to 2 just to see if maybe was a tune problem....well buddy opened the door like an idiot after I told him not to during the tune process. froze the programmer so I had to go into diagnostics and use option "return truck to stock" my question is if I put level 3 tune back on will I have to do a tranny relearn? or does it just return the ECM back to stock without interfering with the tranny? hopefully I don't have to
do a relearn as it was starting to finally shift how I like it

It should only put the engine computer back to stock. I don't have a PPE programmer, but it doesn't make sense to automatically do a TAPS relearn when changing tunes without being told to.

From what I have read, PPE recommends any time changing a tune to do the trans relearn. But if you weren't planning on running it stock and going right back to the level 3 then I would't see a need to do it

Everytime I do a tune change, the trans always has to relearn. It does it with out resitting anything. It will shif different ans sometimes hard, until it relearns.

I would leave mine alone when changing tunes. I had mine set on the 225/300 tune 99% of the time. If the power levels are close I would just leave it alone as I noticed nothing in the tranny from changing tunes..... But then again I have a badass :Dlbz

If you were on level 3 and went back to stock then back to level 3 and didn't drive on the stock level you wont need to reset the trans. Also theres no need to reset the trans when droping to a lower power level, only when going up.
