Since I turned my PPE up to the 325 tune I have been getting a lot of turbo bark. Anyone else getting this. I am thinking of getting the BD blow off valve. Anyone running on of there valves. Is there any other company making a blow off valve. Thanks.

I've saw a few threads concerning this. I remember one where dan fixed the problem. I can't remember the username though. Sorry..

I'm sure he'll take care of you though. :)

I've got one! And a custom mount too! I accidentaly puled a wire loose the other day and i let off and it surged like a big dog! Never surges with it working and thats a good thing! The valve is made by TiAL here in the USA and BD makes the Pcm controller. Great way to help save the turbo, especailly if your running an aftermarket huffer! And as a bonus it sounds cool and no one expects it on a diesel! Let'me know if theres anything you'd like tio know and ill do my best to awnser!

My crrappy video, you can hear it a couple of times!

I run a BD BOV too. I would change them clamps in a second. NO WAY id depend on a screw clamp at 45+ lbs.

Ya, I know! They need to be replaced with the right ones! I'm only running
32psi as of now with no problems. The tube is slightly larger than the hose OD and its pretty snug and i rolled a bead on the ends too! I see you too fabed a custom mount! Good Job! Ther recomended placment isnt the best, I like ours better!:D

Very cool sounding and I liked the display of egt's .

I think I would like one of these on my truck , when Im in the sand and fully spooled and lift the tires slow down quickly and I get the chsh chsh chsh chsh bark back through the turbo pretty good .

Sounds kinda cool but not sure how good this is on the turbo . What is the damage that can be caused by this ? Could this be related to the many turbo's ive replace ? I was pretty sure the turbo damage was being caused by egt's , but they all had different characteristics like one made a whirling sound , another had a vibration , and well another broke the shaft in half . That was a hell of a mess in the exhaust system . But I know what caused that one . Dont ever run with out your filter at the track . Little pieces of track rubber like to go through turbo .

Ya, surge/bark sure sounds cool but it's hell on the turbo! That, Chhh, chhh, chhh is the boost reversing out the inlet! Can bend or break blades, bend or break the shaft, can kill a turbo in about every concievable way! Would prolly be a good investment for you Johnny!:p

Oh an, Obviously that Vid was with the old PMT (EFILive now) and i didn't have the injectors honed either!

How did you get a bead rolled on it? Did you take it somewhere to have done. I need to have one on both ends of my aluminum elbow!

Yup! Went to a shop down the street from us and had a buddie chuck it up in the bead roller for me! You could weld a bead on too if you can't get it rolled!:D
