I just joined this forum.This is my first post. I bought a 2001 duramax from my deceased friends family. I bought a Hypertech Programmer III p/n 30029 at an auction. My friend programmed the truck with something and I don't know what. I for sure can't ask him. My question is, how do I go about finding out what he did? Will the Hypertech give me a clue if I plug it in? Will a scan tool tell me anything?

Best bet is go to the dealer and have them flash it to stock then you can use your hypertech programmer... It shouldn't cost more than $100
