Alright I am thinking of getting my hands on a 68 Camaro and making a project out of it and placing a Duramax in it with a 4L80E behind it. What kind of issues will I run into? I have found a few motors with wiring harness, ECM, Fuse block.

What other issues will I run into on the wiring side?

It's not a bad swap at all, pretty easy in the older iron actually. If you need any parts, stand alone harness, info ect., give me a ring. Your hardest part will be keeping the rear diff happy, the Chevelle ate three ring gears before upgrading.

Well its back halfed already just need to have the four installed as all the parts are there. I wouldn't go crazy simple stock motor with mild tunes nothing over 450hp range and a built trans.

Maybe I'll build it and sell it too you Scott!

what would it cost to have a stand alone ECM made? The van motor I found has the ECM so all I would need is to make it stand alone and then the Camaro has a stand alone that I could put all the light and interior parts on that unit.

Do you mean stand alone wiring harness for the van ECM or the tuning in the ECM for running as a stand alone?

Harness is prolly $500-1200 depending where. I'd think tuning would be $200-$500??

Both are guesses based on what I've found for my truck. :D
