My buddy eliminated his egr today. He brought the truck over cause it was running horribly. Bad inj. Knock I scanned it and I'm getting a injector 7 control circuit code. It does not look like he damaged any wires with his install. There is no white smoke truck just won't go and is knocking horribly. When first started it is descent for a split second. I used the DVt function to eliminate injectors however it just adds to a already rough idle. Any ideas??

I think it might be no 7 harness. Summit carries new harness plugs. But out of curiosity is the ice pic fix consist of jabbing a pick next to the wire

I have fixed two LLYs now this year that did this suddenly. Both were # 7 but i just got the repair kit from GM dealer. They seem to keep em on stock. Comes with the stuff to fix cyl #2 and #7.

You're essentially "tightening" up the metal connector inside the plug so it makes better contact. Its similar to using a pair of pliers to crimp down a loose spade terminal.
