A shop in Fresno (Fresno Performance) is talking about renting the track, they are gauging interest to see how many participants would want to go. They havnt said anything about having any diesels run there yet but Im gonna talk em into it. IF it happens anyone Interested? Fresno Performance is where Erick Brown used to work and built alot of his CR cummins that put down 1128hp a little while back, so I think they will let us run.:angel:
"OK guys Nate and I are looking into holding a private track day at Famoso, it costs BIG money to rent the track so we would need to get everyone registered and PAID at least a month or so in advance. I'm looking into dates and costs right now and should have some more info up by the weekend.
We will need around 100 cars at $95 per vehicle(more cars will make it less), now before you say thats too much understand this will be a PRIVATE rental and you will get a TON of runs down the track. The guys on LS1tech did a similar event and guys were getting 12-15 passes in and from what I hear they had a blast.
We will create a Paypal account for those who wish to pay online, and we will of course have a way to pay with cash or money orders for those without Paypal access. All spots will be trasnferable, meaning if you break your vehicle or have an accident before the event you can sell your spot to someone else as no refunds will be given UNLESS the entire event becomes a wash and is called off in which case all funds will be refunded in full.
Your car/truck must be able to pass the track tech inspection, and if you have a car/truck faster than 9.99 you will need your NHRA Comp license and your car/truck must have the equipment required in accordance with your chassis ET certification to be allowed on the track. Motorcycles will be allowed as long as you comply with NHRA rules and regulations in regards to leathers and so on you are more than welcome.
So who is seriously interested in having loads of fun, we can have grudge races for those who have a bone to pick or would like to call someone out on the track.
There will also be a raffle for prizes and auto related services, maybe some apparel, you will be allowed one raffle entry per vehicle and will have the option to purchase more tickets at the track.
We will also have awards for quickest ET, fastest MPH and the best reaction time for the event. We may even have some peoples choice type awards for various categories such as best engine compartment, paint, overall car/truck and perhaps a few others if anyone has any ideas please PM me with your thoughts....
We'd just like to have a fun day and get as many people involved as we possibly can, we welcome your thoughts and suggestions!
