We have 2 trucks here both 04's my truck lly and my buddies truck lb7 we are doing the cp3 mod to both trucks on the lb7 do u have to take the back of the pump off like they tell u in the directions??


On my truck what all do i have to pull in order to even get to mine. I cant even see the danm cp3. Both trucks are tore down will not go anywhere so i need help ASAP

I dont think it is even worth it to do a cp3 mod on a stock turbo? I wouldnt go through all the headaches for no gain.

Well thats probley true the lb7 is already done we just need to no if we should take the back of the thing off the drill the holes. If its a must and will help perfomance as for my lly. The egr and everything is off of it i got that far im going to keep going. I just wanna no what other people are taking off there trucks to do it. i got a new turbo coming very soon so i minus will do it now while i fill like it

Kurt, find the post? it's somewhere on the DP. Type in CP3 mod in the search box. Full instructions. All you need to do is pull the regulator off the back of the cp3. You will need a small torx to get it off. We have done two of them. You'll need a Dremel tool and some very fine (800+) sandpaper to clean up any burrs on the piston. Cleanliness is the key on this mod. Yes, it is worth it. Especially on LB7's and LLY's. Just follow the directions to the letter.

Alright steve the lb7 is done it made a world of differnce. Basically i was going to see if i had to remove the egr and what all after that i will have to take off to reach it
