to keep a long story short my bro-n-law bought a tx Dura.... 04 lb7, 4x4 quad cab, loaded and very sharp truck
THE BAD....
It was shipped from Corpus Cristi (sp?) When he drove the truck home from Lex (and he's new to the diesel world so he desn't understand whats bad and good yet lol) he called me and said when he would floor it and it would go all the way to 3k and down sift like it should but as soon as it started to pull it would kick back down to 2500 rpms and stop pulling. You kick it from a stop it's fine all the way through 1,2, and 1/2 through 3rd then it starts doing the 2500 rpm thing and NO power. I thought it was limping but the truck shows NO codes? It was has absolutly NO power after 1,2 gears? You ease into the throttle and it barley accelerates. it took me about 2 miles to go from stop to 75mph! What could this be? the truck show no signs of abuse, runs smooth through and powerful through 1,2?
What is this??? I'm thinking someone put a valet tune on it? Or would it do that? Cause it free rev's and has 1,2nd to 3200???
