Hi im new here and I was looking for some help. I jumped in my truck today and it shifted fine until I hit fourth gear its like I had nothing and fifth gear is the same way. My transmission is stock as far as I know. The only other problem it gave me was it would sometimes rev up before it would shift into fourth gear. My cheap Hand held code scanner only picked up the p700 tcm code and another for shift solenoid b I believe performance or stuck open. Any help would b awesome thanks!!

I did a fluid and filter change about a month ago on the transmission. Its been a few months since my fuel filter change. It was just sudden I have to keep it in 3rd or it wont move at all.

Ok I got one more question. Ive decided to take my transmission out and get it rebuilt but I need the truck while its getting rebuilt. My buddy has an allison out of an 05 if I swap the bellhousing and nsbu switch will it work?

What kind of job is that in an Allison. I have another Allison out of an 02 laying out back I could take the valve body out of. Cant beat a free transmission if I can make it work

The '05 will bolt right in, valve body and all. You need to change NSBU and get GM cooler line adapter fittings. That's it.

damn it, i forgot. its if you wanted to do it the other way around, then you gotta swap the vb so the TCM sees the G solenoid.
