Fake Boost Stick
This applies to only LLY's. If you have an LB7, you will have to get a crack pipe or Big Head waste gate mod.

Navigator - B0202 Boost Sensor Scaling. Click on the grey 1.09 volt box, hold down the mouse button, and drag all the way to 5.0 volts. You should have just 1.09 to 5.0 (and inbetween) selected. In the ADJUST box, type in -20 (negative) and hit the % button. At 5.0v it should read about 42. What we did was to fake the engine into seeing less boost than there is by 20%. The reason we start at 1.09v, is because 1v is atmospheric pressure, and if we did the whole thing, it would try to make more boost at idle, which is not necessary.

You will notice that there is a dip in the graph up top at 1.09v, and when you look at the numbers, it goes 12.4, 13.9, 12.3, 13.5, 14.7. We want to smooth this out. So at 12.3, type 14.5. At 13.5, type 14.9. And at 14.7 type 15.4. Now it's smooth!

I have dois this up until the last paragraph... My numbers don't math up!!!

What is wrong??? BTW: If I have a Fingers Boost Stick should I leave this last step out??????

Here is a Screenshot!!!!

Something doesn't look right, make sure all of your display units are "Imperial"...Open a tune, click on Edit, then "configure display units", then All, then Imperial ...Don't run the boost stick and modify this table...I would pull out the boost stick and just use EFI Live for your boost mods...

re-did everything...

removed Boostick and went on test drive...

NOT MUCH SMOKE, just a puff when punching it!!!

Trans. needs relearning.. Shoudl ahve reset TAPS at tend of Flash but forgot!!!

Thanks NEENS, i must have ahd some Imperial and some Metric...

I datalogged and see I have 2 injectors actign up!!!

Also at idle truck has an interminant(sp.) shake and wobble that coems and goes...

The more it sits and idles the worse the shake and wobble gets thought... It's quite noticebale...

EDIT: i THINK i REALIZED WHERE I SCREWED UP!!! I read my ECM with the Edge unhooked but forgot about the Booststick!!! Wouldn't that throw the number off, especially when i unhooked the Booststick after I had copied, changed , and re-flashed the new 20-20 Tow-Tune into the truck??

Would that give the lopey idle and cuase it to have a fairly decent vibration???? If so, how can I correct it.. I installed the STOCK (w/ Boostick) program back into the truck and it runs fine... Do i need to READ IT AGIAN WITHT HE BOOSTICK UNHOOKED NOW??? and then make the tow-tune adjustments off of that??

THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THE HELP GUYS!!!!

That's fine, that tune is not very smoky...

I would re-read w/o boost stick and compare B0202, see if anything has changed...

Based on "The Neens" advice I have changed the 0-10 parameters of the B0720 and B0721 section fo the Setup back to stock configuration.. However the 20-100 value's were all adjusted to the 20% increase value that McRat provides in the 20/20 TowTune Write-up!!!

The truck was idling horrible on Friday and Sat. with the setup as it was. The idle was lopey and had a ton of vibration!!! I MEAN ALOT, IT SHOOCK THE TRUCK ALOT AND PROBABLE WOULD HAVE MIXED A GLASS OF CHOCOLATE MILK ON THE HOOD!!!

I ran it tonight for about 20-25 mi. and so far the Idle was rough at first, but smoothed out after about 5 minutes!!!! I also reset the TAPS after the flash so it's shifting like crap!!! I couldn't get any WOT passes out of here for the Seat of the Pants power feel!!!

THANKS " NEENS and SweetDiesel"

WILL

Also, If anyoen else has any pointers or proposed changes to a tune such as this, please let me know... I am still learning!!!!

The Neens advice about changing the parameter of the 0-10 section has worked great so far, but what are the side effects??? None, except low-end performance is stock until the 20-100 section!!!! Would the extra Boost beign created effeect it in a negative way since the fuel isn't there at that point???

:D

OK, WENT ON AN HR. LONG DRIVE FOR LUNCH!!!

I got the rough idle and lopey conditions even with the Adjusted tune today... Right at startup it did it and then smoothes out a bit...

SO, i re-adjusted the 20-20 tune back to the exact way Pat provides and loaded it...

Got the super rought Idle again but couldn't log it right away as I wasn't hooked up yet!!!

SO, i took her for a 20 minute spin and did all driving conditions..

I logged two 1-minute logs of the truck sittign in the driveway after riding and i got it to idle and lope and shake again!!! at about 2/3 throguh the log I idled it upa bit to show how it smoothes and then drops again!!

PAY ATTENTION TO THE {main injection on time} AND {main injection fuel flow rate 2} WHEN THE DIP FROM 0-800'ish and 0-3.5'ish respectively is when the lopey idle is happening!!!
