Playing burnt DVD's

Ya can't just copy a DVD to another DVD. It won't play. It has to be decrypted and like Pat said, made into ISO then burnt. Not that I do this 
but there are pleanty of programs that you can get off the internet that are capable of doing this so you can make BACK UP COPIES OF YOUR OWN LIBRARY

I used to have a program called DVDxcopy? for making backup discs for the kids in the truck, since they trash them. But even then, not all of them would work.
There are also forums out there that are for this that can tell you anything you could ever want to know

I am a veteran of Copying and burning DVD's my question is in our trucks that come equipped with DVD players that is mounted on the headliner from the factory is there anyway they can play burnt DVD's? Ive tried DVD-R and DVD+R discs.

I didn't even know these trucks cave with DVD players. Damn, I have crank windows and manual door locks....less weight
I'm sure there is. I mentioned another forum because I work with a guy that does tons of that stuff and hes on a forum for it and he showed me once. The stuff was way to complex for me but since your a veteran you should be able to make some sence of it
Double check DAO and TAO settings on the burn software. DAO is preferred. ALSO, burn at 2x. I know it takes more time, but there will be less CRC errors and you have a better chance of the disc working.
with anydvd I have never had trouble playin g on any dvd player dvdx something will not play on all of them

paint do you mean movie DVD's? The factory nav unit wont play movie dvd's unless you get a 150$ adapter...

NO NO Ben, the over head unit that is between the front seats and rear bench. I tried burning a few DVDs and the player which I believe is a Panasonic wont recognize any of my burnt DVD's
