Does anyone know if running plastic axle spacers at high horsepower levels such as around 1000hp will be an issue? If so does anyone make metal ones?

I'm running a bds 7 inch lift I'm trying to address everything before the motor gets back! Just wondering if I'll run into issues with these plastic spacers my angles are really good!

If they use quality bolts, you will break a cv before the spacer. It also comes down to how well you launch. A crappy launch with huge torque steer can destroy anything

the real question is: is the plastic stronger than the shear strength of the bolts? i know there is some friction involved but i would guess it would be twisting right at that location pretty easy.

just a guess

ive been running plastic spacers about as wide or wider than yours for the last 120k miles. 48k of that has been at 600hp on up to 800hp. now ill be knocking at the 4 digit mark but i have not ran in 4wd yet. i ahve done plenty of beating on them in 4wd off road, on road, towing and at high and low HP with spinning 37s and then catching traction hard. still have not broke one.

when you break one, it will be from the tire spinning at a high rate under power, then suddenly catching traction. that is also assuming the cv or diff does not break first ;) :D
