Interesting. IIRC, the Cummins marine pistons are kind of like that.

And "delipped" pistons are like a blend of the two.

My buddy was showing me a ford issued magazine last night that has the new boss mustangs in it, anyways it had an article in their about how the 2011 ford beat the gmc in fuel mileage. The test was 3 gallons in both trucks, the ford went 5 1/2 miles further
