Looks like a lot of oil. Bad seal? What's the story on it?

Wow Todd..you sure are a calmer person than me. If that were my truck, I certainly wouldnt be laughing about it. Hope nothing got damaged and you're able to fix the issue.

Broke a turbo shaft before and had similar oil disaster . 8 quarts in muffler in less than 1 mile . What a friggen pain in the arse . Smokes for a week after fixing .

Whats a mess , sorry to hear your luck with turbo meltdown .

Its nice to see you banging on it hard enough to cause that though . :D

I laughed when I saw the picture. That will definately do it. Oil messes do suck my oil feed on my turbo blew off on the freeway and soaked everything. shot 8 quarts everywhere. I still need to buy about three cases of brake clean and get after the whole underneath of my truck

Just be glad it didn't run away on all that oil.

I know this is a dumb question: How would it run away if it was pumping oil out the down pipe? There was no oil in the intake side. Wouldn't it need oil in the combustion chamber for that to happen?

Yes though I am glad that was all that happened

The motor needs to actually run on oil to runaway. That guy doesn't need to be giving hard parts tech
