here are some pics of my 4 linked dana 60. '86 ford dana high pinion kingpin, parallel 4 link with 10'' travel fox racing shocks, functional abs, 35 spline axles and lockouts, 3.73 gears, sway bar, dual stabilizers. this thing drives amazing, i will without a doubt say it rides nicer and is more solid than my truck before with the IFS with keys. less body roll, brakes are stronger, rides much nicer. (not nice like a stock truck, but nicer than blocks and keys do!) axle and everything else is powdercoated, and i used por15 on the frame
here it is before with blocks/keys and 33'' tires. bottom of fender 42''

here with the straight axle, fender sits at 46" (3'' from axle, 1'' from larger tire) and i have 3.5-4'' of up travel, so if i wanted to i could adjust the shocks and have it sit 1.5-2'' lower and run 33's.

Nice work. How long are the links? Did you use ABS signal converters? And did you buy your link brackets or make them? Give us some real details what steering setup your using etc. I like the ride height

That is the work of a CAN DO- guy no doubt. Makes me realize how long I've sat and looked at the way to do it and pick out the parts. My issue is I only want to do it once and not go back into it for being too fast on a critical item. Nice job on that truck. Hats off to it for sure.

pretty much anything that looks like it was fabbed was made by me. :D shock towers, axle link mounts, frame link mounts, all steering bars, track bar, dual stabilizer mounts. sway bar is stock i just modified the ends. i feel good taking the credit for all that, i have A LOOOT of hours in the whole setup! ...and fortunatly for you guys interested i made copies of all my parts! :thumb: lol lot of time just removing the old ifs junk and mounts from the frame and prepping it. i built everything and mocked it all up and set er on the ground, then disassembled for powdercoat and then put back together. im guessing i have over 85 hrs into it..??

ill see if i have some pics of the frame link mounts on my computer, otherwise it may be a little bit before i can get some as my truck is out of commision sitting outside with 24" of snow in the forcast for tomorrow.

the shocks are 2.5" series fox dual rates with 14" rezzys i bought them through a Fox racing sponsorship i have with the quad racing, lucky me because they are pricy. retail is close to $1500 with the 4 springs i think? i had them revalved and some modifications done by my quad shock setup guy. they are monsterous, i think 29.5" long extended, 4" OD spings. deff. overkill but i under estimated their size when i ordered them haha at least they look cool right? nice thing about them being they have 10" of travel i can crank them up quite a few inches (because they are sitting waay compressed right now) for when i go to the sand dunes with some paddle/bar tires this summer :woott::D and remove the sway bar. but the tall shock tower in the fender well kinda sucks, not as much room for (multiple) turbos and what not haha. i just finished putting a 80's chevy dana 60 in my buddies ODL Pull truck and we used some much smaller and cheaper afco racing shocks and they worked out very nice so far.

in the picture it has 4" blocks in the rear. i think im going to put 5" blocks on and see how that looks. i like to have a little rake and i like the height of the front right now

as for steering; all the tie rod and drag link ends where purchased new, i built the actual bars. high steer king pin arm was bought but deff shoulda just made one its pretty simple. dual stabilizers where some cheap rancho's and i just made my own mounts. 4" drop pitman arm off the steer box. heim rod ends for stabilizer just because they look cool and way more solid than rubber! this thing has practically no body roll. i only got to drive it for 2 weeks after i finished building it before the snow started falling, but it was awesome! brakes all new with stainless lines and ABS tone rings installed on hubs (had to turn down for them) and brackets for oem abs sensors welded to spindles. brakes are AWESOME!

yes kingpins rock! :thumb: i dont care if it is 20+ yrs old these things are solid! i completly rebuilt mine end to end and its all powdercoated. + new warn lockout and 35 spline outer shafts. no locker yet, but hopefully this summer.

link bars are 30" long C-C if i remember right, im not an engineener (yet, going to school lol) but i figured the longer they are the nicer, more plush ride it would have, so far i think thats right. and SWEET amounts of articulation in the sand!! haha

it will have also have a 273 T case in it once the trucks back going.

havent towed with it yet, but a few more months it will have a pull truck and 36' gooseneck behind it (not mine haha)

got a buddy that wants a 10" SAS soon hopefully so ill get an idea of how that will be put together compared to this. but my setup here will easily sit at 4" lift over stock and run 33's. granted if i did it again i probably wouldnt use these humongo desert racing baja shocks. lol

wow sorry for the novel; but thanks for the compliments guys :)
