i have a 09 chevy 2500 duramax. Earlier this winter, my pickup would not start as if the batteries were dead. It also gave me messages on the DIC to service the traction control, 4 wheel drive, trailer brake system, and battery charging system. I would let it sit for a couple hours and then it would start just fine. I ended up changing the batteries and this cured the problem, until last week. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this? Any help would be much appreciated.

Weak batteries will make the electrical system coocoo, I have heard of the voltage regulator on the alternator going bad and draining system as well as BCM, need to leave it sit an hour or so and do some tests.

My LLY ate batteries until I put lower cca batteries in.

Or even one bad battery will do the same. Need to load test them both because a meter alone won't necessarily tell you one battery is bad.

New batteries can go sideways prematurely also.

Check all your grounds too.
