I bought my first dually a couple weeks back. I sold my 2015 denali, and bought this c4500 regency conversion with low miles. It is a 2007, going to be calling mark at danville soon to get it tuned. I have a lift pump and going to fab up an exhaust for it. I am also going to do led low and fog lights. This truck is very nice for pulling, and is very spacious. I will be upgrading my trailer in a few weeks moving to a dual tandem and 25+5 or 30+5. I noticed there is a lot of info for the medium duty trucks on dieselplace, but i am not a member there yet. Does anyone know where the engine tag is to determine if it is a lye or lmm....lye is a medium duty truck engine code.

Very nice tow rig. Does yours have the reclining bed in the back? I am small enough to fit in the backseat of my truck, but boy that would be nice to be able to stretch out in. What kind of fuel mileage does it get? Are the headlights sealed beams, if so how do you change them to led? Are you going to put "Not For Hire" on the sides or put your DOT # on it?

Yes the rear seat is powerfolding. This rig is "not for hire" for personal use only. They are sealed beams but im going to switch them out to something like this so i can have plug and play led lights for now. I may get creative and do fiberglass work and install 07.5 + tahoe lights.

They are not cheap unless you want one with high miles and a lb7.

I actually may sell this and go to a 3500 dually denali.

Big Tex trailers are pricey except in Tx and Ga where they are made. I bought my 14et in Az and paid almost double the price that I saw it for in Ga. Had I know how much the mark up was I would have just made the trip to the factory and bought it there. $600 short of double the price..:(
DOT is going to love pulling over that combo 4500 and gooseneck dovetail, hope you have farm plates or A note from God. Lol. Be careful in Az, NM, Ut and the Republic of Ca.
