It's time for the bi-annual boat hauling. Since my LMM is pretty much a hotrod now we figured it's time for a new tow rig. Picked up a CCSB ltz last week, made the trip (400 miles) with 19,000lb 40ft CC.
My take, this is the best pulling, best handling, and most refined truck I've ever pulled with. It handled this boat twice as well as the 2009 does. The stability is very impressive. Remember this boat is over twice the length and almost 3 times the weight of the truck. It's easy to get into a "tail wagging the dog" situation. That never happened never ever felt like the truck wasn't in control... My only gripe (not much room to talk since the boat has 1200hp) is the fuel economy. I got a whooping 6.5 mpg... It's not the burn rate, it's the fact that I had to stop for fuel that bothers me lol. 30gallon or whatever it is tank isn't enough... But it's a small price to pay, for the comfort and handling this truck demonstrated.
Usually after this haul, I'm beat up. Not this time
