i know guys have done this before with a dodge. but i was wondering about putting one on a GM frame. I have thought about just dropping in my motor and trans into a peterbilt and callin it a day. but with the gears and weight of the frame it would be super heavy. how hard do you think it would be to un the body onto one of our frames?

if i could find a 04-05 lly RCLB DRW, take the body off it. put maybe a 4in lift but all the way down so i could fit some semi truck tires. super singles out back perhaps. not sure what i would want to do about the bed. either flat bed or something custom. and i think it would be a pretty fun truck. could still tow with it. if i put in my motor and trans it would be pretty quick still id think. not sure if i would be able to pull at events due to it being a gm frame and power train but a diff body. either way i think it would be a weekend crusier.

Putting the drivetraine out of a dmax into a peterbuilt would be useless just keep what's in it but a body swap wouldn't be to bad. Just take off your body and put on the peterbuilt's body. A Guy around here did this with a few dodges didn't look like they really had to do much to the chassis. Good luck.
