Hello everyone, first post on this forum, gave it a shot on duramaxforum.com and I couldn't get the answers I was looking for.
A few weeks ago my truck threw the P2138 code, which I can't remember the technical name of but it indicated I had a bad throttle position sensor. After replacing the pedal assembly it still throws the code. Does anyone have any ideas of other things to check to find the problem here?
Thanks

After replacement did you check the APP to see if it's off? Put the pedal to the floor and see if u get 100%. watch and see if it ramps up fast or slow.
I read sometime back about a few pins in the PCM being burnt. Check and make sure the pins are ok.

Pedal position ramps quickly to 100%. Kind of a rookie question but where is the pcm located on these trucks? Sorry I've only owned the truck for a few months.

How do you go about checking the pins? Again sorry for the newbie questions. I've also noticed that it seems to throw the code more often when its wet out, like if it was raining. If I walk out of work and its raining I can almost guarantee that the code will show up when I start the truck, if that helps with anything

Mine would not rev up at all and sometimes real slow like you said. My plug in at the firewall didn't come with a rubber seal from the factory, guess it was a Friday, but everytime it rained hard or I washed the truck it did that shit. Took like 3 yrs to figure it out but I wasn't really trying till I got standed in a rain storm. Yours sounds like messed pins on the ECM or a chaffed wire from the firewall to the ECM.

Update on this thread, I went to check the pins on the ecm, un-did the ratchet style locks on the one of the connectors, took it off, put it back on, and the truck has ran fine ever since. Perhaps it was just a loose connector?

Yes indeed, electrical problems are a foreign language to me lol. At least I only spent 80 bucks on a pedal assembly instead of a couple hundred on a new pcm before I figured it out.
