NSBU maybe? A-solenoid?

Ok i posted awhile back about after some hard running around town my truck would no longer go in reverse and the "shift rail inhibited" popped up.

Well i finally drove the truck (everything ran fine pulling a trailer just no reverse) 300 somethin miles back to a friends shop.

Getting a P0746 on the trans and he says a Ecm and Tcm cant communicate code. This adds to my ABS light and Rearwheel speed circuit code i have had for a year.

He has cleared the codes but they all come back after a short drive.

BTW its a 4x4 Offroad shop and all hes working with us my EFI live since im outta town on a job. Input please i need this fixed quick. Thanks

I would be looking at the output speed sensor or wiring. Check the tone wheel in the transfer case and make sure it's not loose.

transfer case was just replaced by the chevy house 2 months ago for pump rub and thinking it had something to do with the ABS light but still doing it.

Tone wheel? what is this?

It is the gear that the speed sensor counts. I hate to tell you how many so called transfer case rebuilds were screwed up. Consider everything wrong untill you prove it right. This is how I think and it has proved to be correct.

thanks, guess ill have to take it back to the dealer probably dont want to give them any reason to void my warranty on the whole t-case.

what do u think about my p0746 code and no reverse? think it all has somethin to do with the tone wheel maybe? or NSBU?
