I got a p0741 about 2 weeks ago maybe more while just driving...not hard...cleared it and went on my way...this weekend i was towing a 20 foot enclosed trailer and it tripped the p0741 again...i cleared it and it did it again coming home. I didnt clear it this time because it just keeps popping up...any ideas

What causes this code? I had my trans slam into 1st gear going about 5 mph 4 or more times and I have this code.

If the TCM sees the converter clutch slipping more than 80 rpm's for 15 seconds it will throw the code. It will also throw it if there is no tcc signal because it will read that as a massive slip.

Well wtf fleece just installed a gmax kit with a ML TC, I spent close to $5000 altogether and now Im still having Trans problems. this is bull.

Put a scanner on it and diagnose it. I'm sure Brayden will walk you through the procedure or give me a call and Ill help you.

Okay thanks Mike, I'm gonna call them up Monday so I can make them aware of the problems I'm having. Most little problems dont bug me but its the fact that I'm skiding the back tire every now and then when its down shifting that worries me. I guess thats a clutch tie up, and I know those can smoke clutches
