P0700 code ?

Here's what happened. Pulling a 6000lb travel trailer today up and down the hills of PA. While still going down a grade and switching to the
Fast lane I thought I may have slipped off the gas pedal for a second until I realized the trans went into neutral for a second, as I was pulling over she came back to life but wouldn't go into 5th. Scanned it real quick and cleared code. I could have sword I heard a click from the trans when I cleared it. Drove another 150 miles with no problem. The only thing I see is that the trans may be over full by a half of quart. My fear is that when I put my 5th wheel on I may puke the trans. Any advice would be appreciated!!!!

Note. The tune was on 2, trans temp was 170ish and trans was still in 5th when it happened.

P0700 is just a tcm fault. You need to get the actual code or else we can't help you diagnose it.

Would the code still be in the tcm if I cleared PCM?

Yes unless it's stored in the history codes for the tcm. It may not appear until the fault happens again though.

Shit that's what I was afraid of. I don't drive this truck most of the winter.y fear is it will let me down when I need it most. Is it possible it will go into limp mode for no reason? Wishful thinking. Lol

There's always a reason it goes into limp mode. When the tcm sees incorrect data it'll go into limp mode. Something caused it you just need to find a way to get the code that was set to help aid in the diagnosis.

You will have to wait until it happens again, if it does. With no codes you are only going to get guesses as to what it could have been.
