Hey guys new poster here with some problems
I have a 2006 Express Van with a duramax in it, I know it dosent have the allison since they didnt put them in vans, (should have 4L85e) but I hope you can still give some advice.

I get in it today and start it and check engine light is on. I pull codes and get 3 codes Driving down the road and I got into it a little to see if anything is up, and it seems like the tranny is slipping engine revs up then catches gear again

P0087 Fuel rail system pressure too low
This code has been haunting me for a while now but i replaced both fuel filters and I think that solved it, just I never cleared it and it hasnt been long enough to auto clear it

P0601 Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error
P0700 Transmission Control System (MIL Request)
Van is totally stock 125k miles

The 700 doesn't tell us anything. What are you scanning with?

well like an idiot i cleared the codes and they have not come back but it is still slipping, is that going to have any effect like making it not possible to read TCM codes?

BTW cougar, i see your an operator... I did put in a VHF mobile (45watt) today and the codes came up right after i put it in and tx'd but it was not running at the time and the coax is goin out the door to a mag mount so its not running around any of the harness. just thought maybe you might know if they had a history of rf interference

The P0700 just means you have a TCM code present. Most OBD II scanners can't read or clear codes except ECM only, so there is a good chance that the TCM codes are still there.

Can't say that I have seen any issues. I assume the mag mount is on the roof? Should be far enough away to not interfere with the TCM unless the radio is "leaky" and near the TCM (I'm not really sure where the TCM is in the Vans relative to where your radio is located). Kind of odd that they came up after TX'ing though.

Ok took it to my mechanic and he scanned it with a genisys and found no codes at all so my innova must have cleared all of them. I guess the next step would be to flush fluid and change the filter?? Using dexron III i assume?

Are you sure he scanned the TCM seperate? A GENYSYS has to be linked to each module individually to be scanned and many don't know this.

UPDATE took it to my mechanic today for flush and filter change. Mechanic drove it and noticed the shift indicator was going to park when it "slipped" and he determined the shift actuator module was bad. Is this typical on 4l85e?

I don't have that much experience with that NSBU but it is the same unit as the Allison.

There is not a seperate module. Everything is conctrolled by the PCM on that trans.

I had read before that even the vans with a DMAX still used a seperate TCM controller for them, but I've never seen one myself in person to verify. I know when I was working out my tow/haul issues I read some 06 diagrams for a van and it showed a seperate TCM in the wiring for it, but it wouldn't be the first time they've been wrong.

Heres the diagram I was looking at, it shows a TCM and ECM in the 06 diesel van.

I seem to remember after my 2nd trans, my had repeaded issues with the gear shift indicator. I'd have to do some digging to remember the code. But it would say it was in N and was really in R. I know it stored a code for it too.
