P0678 Glow Plug 8 Control Circuit

So, I now apparently have a faulty glow plug When it rains, it pours. I did a little looking on here for the same code and seems to be an all to common issue. Noob question, but how are the glow plugs numbered and which one is number 8. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Number 8 is back driver side.. Easy from the bottom..

Number 1 is passenger front off #s this side
Number 2 is driver front even #s on this side

P0678 Not a Glow Plug

2009 Duramax Chevy 2500 Glow Plug 8 Circuit fault. Have replaced this Glow Plug twice and code still shows up. Any Suggestions. Yes the code was cleared. Thanks

Are you replacing the driver rear glow plug?

Yes have Chevy Dealer do it once and independent Mechanic do it once.
