I keep getting this code and it wont go away. I can delete it with the bullydog but it will come back at least once a day. what is this code and what can i do to fix it?
Its a glow plug code, check all your batt positive and negative connections and the main batt connection at the glow plug module, or get it to your dealer it might still be under warranty....
Ok i went to the dealer and they say they replaced a faulty glowplug module and glowplug, made it all the way home (80 miles or so) without it coming on. However, I just took the truck out and it tripped the light again. I deleted it with the bullydog for now and i'm going to see if it comes back. I think i read on another post someone had this code and they replaced the fuse box because they were getting a bad connection due to people messing with fuses etc.... This code started showing up on my truck the day I put my airdog 2 on, and im wondering if i might have jacked something up on my fuse block when installing it.
Thoughts and opinions lol?
Did you use a fuse tap when you installed your air dog? reason I ask is because the fuse tap can spread the female terminal inside the box and cause a poor connection and induce the dtc
come to think of it, i did use a fuse tap when i installed the stupid bully dog, and it used to be in the fuse that now has the airdog. mabey now that the tap is gone the airdog fuse doesnt fit right and it throwing the code. Is there a way i can check if this might be the problem, and if so is there a way I can fix it without having to go back to the dealer? One thing is for sure i think it is time to switch to efi live:thumb:
ok i pulled the fuse and the female ends inside the fuse looked to be separated a bit. i should have noticed this before because I am able to pull the ign fuse easily with just my fingers, and all my other fuses need the fuse puller thing. now that i think that this might be the problem, is there anything i can do to fix it?
well i unplugged both my airdog and bullydog to try to fix it, so basically my fuse boxes were only powering stock stuff. when i did this my check engine light came back on and my tach went crazy:rofl:. so there is something definately wrong with my electrical system if i had to guess. I have now plugged everything back in and the p064c code has gone away, but now i have p0381 and p0650 lol. I just cant seem to catch a break on this problem
ok i got the lights to go out for now, all i did was wrap the ends on the airdog wire/fuse holder thing with aluminum foil to try to get better contact and it seems to be working so far. I guess I'll have to wait and see if this actually keeps it off
