Let's try this again. My 2005 GMC 2500HD 4WD DMax.
I still have a P0571 "Cruise Control Brake Switch 1 Circuit" H ($10) "Powertrain Control Module (PCM)" error detected by my EFI V2. The symptoms are: 1. Brake lights are on all the time when the ignition is on. With ignition off, they work as normal. 2. The cruise does not work. 3. The right turn signal stays on (does not flash) when I use it. Left signal works fine. Hazards work fine. I do Not have a trailer brake controller, or even a trailer. I checked all the wiring (and the sockets) at the tail lights, the junction box, and trailer socket at the back of the truck. All is in good shape. All the lights work.
There is not much info on this error on these interwebs. The best I have found is to replace the ($97) 2/4-W/OPT. TRAILERING flasher relay, in which I did. There was a waste. It did not fix it, but I can run LED's now... Woohoo . On a side note, when I replaced the relay, all the lights worked fine, but as soon as I drove it down the road, all the symptoms came back. The relay connection is good.
After all that, here is my question: Where is the Cruise Control Brake Switch 1 Circuit located? I'm thinking it is the switch on the brake pedal, but have no idea. Having trouble finding any info on this.
Thanks,
jc
