I had a friend call me up today saying he has a p0308. I told him to check his harness for good connections to the injector before changing a injector. Is there anything else I should have him check or try before changing parts? I tuned this truck about 3 years ago and never had a problem or check engine light. he says he can hear a ticking noise at lower rpm. sticking injector?

Isn't that a glow plug code?

Glow plug would be the imfimus p0380. I think a 0308 is #8 injector missfire

P0308 Fault Cylinder H-Misfire Detected (CYL8)

It means that Cylinder 8 is requiring more fuel than other cylinders to keep crankshaft speed constant.
Check you injector balance rates.
