Well, I was coming up to a light that was changing, Known for being a horribly long light, so I hammered it. I'm on my hot street tune about a 475-500hp tune to make the light. By the time I made it to the intersection check engine light came on. It felt like a bad shift but it could have been a bump in the road.
The truck then rev'ed to the moon, I got shift range inhibited and it would not pull. I coasted to the next intersection shut the truck off and let it sit, started it up and got a bad grinding noise. I put it in drive and the noise went away, and it would pull a little again. Let off and let it coast and it would grind again. So I shut it down when i got to a safe place and got it towed and got all the codes shown above.
On a suncoast stage V with a 1058 converter with a billet flex plate and a t-case brace. Help???

Thanks patrick

How does the fluid look ? do you still have 4th gear ? po776 is never good, I would drop the pan and see if its metal or clutch material or and decide from there , that code usually isnt something minor , the other codes are boost too high ( normal for aftermarket turbo trucks ) and output speed sensor range performance.

P0721 is the speed sensor in your transfer case. That will cause the P0776.
Start there first.

Fluid looks and smells fine, Transmission was new in march 2010, maybe 15,000 miles on it, spin on changed regularly.

When I finally got it to move it would get going up to about 15-20 mph and then it stopped pulling and revved up.

Mike, could the output shaft sensor cause a grinding noise? Only at idle in park and neutral, as soon as there is a load on in (putting it in drive or reverse) it goes away.

Well, I stripped the P2 planatary and C2 hub splines, also one of the clutches in the c1 pack was completely delaminated and all of my c5 clutches were burnt.

Got a hold of Ron at Suncoast he is replacing the clutches on Suncoast's dime! Also he is overnighting them so I can make it to their race this weekend.:woott:

Big thanks to Ron and the Suncoast boys.

Ouch, what usually causes this? Too much hp or just some other internal failure

This almost always happens with tuning. You never said it didn't have 4th gear.

I did the same thing to mine with the planetary and splines i also destroyed my c2's and c5's if i remember. George told me it was tieing up shifts. It was due to tuning from a previous tuner. Idaho rob fixed me up and no more problems :thumb:

I could never drive it long enough to get into 4th, it would get to about 15 mph and then just rev up, like it was in neutral.

Also would a delaminted clutch in the the c1 pack change the shift timing enough to cause the hub to strip out?
