On my 2002 I have been getting a P0106 code, I replaced the MAP sensor with a new one, and looked through the wiring for bare spots with no luck. Idle or WOT my scanner is saying MAP PSI is 36 and boost is 22. Truck runs like normal elsewise. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help.

P0106 is for the BARO sensor according to my ALLDATA. What does you BARO sensor read with the key on engine off? What does the boost read?

Was it a new gm sensor or aftermarket? I've seen multiple parts store MAP sensors bad right out of the box. Check your 5v reference and ground at the sensor plug. Your original sensor should be labeled 5v/sig/gnd

It was aftermarket, I'm showing 4V
With the MAP sensor unplugged I'm showing
BARO - 14.4
MAP - 6
BOOST - 0
As soon as I plug it in goes right back to
BARO - 14.4
MAP - 36
BOOST - 22

I checked the baro on my others and they are all showing 14.4 or so as well

Wonder if you got the right part. I believe the baro sensor can install in place of the boost pressure sensor, and if you did, it would max out like this.

It's identical to the GM one I pulled out. I'll swap in the old one and scan it to see if numbers are the same, can't remember what they were before changing.
