I attempted to replace my cp3 on my truck but gave up until I had more time but I put everything back together then I had a coolant leak and fixed that then hose was leaking that goes into fuel rail so there was fuel everywhere. But now I still have the p0101 code. Truck goes into limp mode and sometimes it will go out of limp mode for a minute then go right back into it. I have an afe stage 2 intake and it worked fine before but now throws code. Put stock intake in and still throws the code!!!! Everything is tight and MAF is clean. Anything else that could be causing this??? It's aggravating

did you unlplug the bale connectors (white/black big connectors on the driverside)? That's where he is suggesting looking at the pins to make sure they are all straight.

I don't think there is anything on the EGR that can cause a P0101 unless I'm mistaken. You didn't happen to remove the maf and install it backwards?

Maybe you pinched the wire harness where it crosses the front of the motor when you assembled everything? Just throwing ideas out there.

Does it happen while idling, cruising, or heavy acceleration?

The reason I asked is because my dad blew a boot (not totally off, just a couple of tears in it) on his truck a while back, and it would throw a P0101 code when the boost would come up because it was seeing too much airflow. Just thinking maybe a boot didn't quite make it back on all the way or something.

Russel ya I checked the big connecters and they looked fine no bent or pushed out pins. Goin to check wiring a little better today
Josh first it did it at low speeds or when I let off coming to a stop but now it does it just idling.

Now truck won't even turn over. It has power to everything but turn the key to start and nothing happens. And the little line that shows what gear your in isn't showing up either

you have obviously got an electrical issue... time to retrace your steps completely.

I just went threw everything unplugged and replugged back in all connectors. It won't even let me pull the trouble codes off. The ppe I'm using to check codes just freezes up now
