LBZ: P0008???

What would cause a P0008 code? I have a friend that has an 07 LBZ and this code keeps coming up. Truck goes into limp mode right after shifting from 3-4 gear.

I would check out the truck myself but its in Carson City, thats a long way from Phoenix!

Check back with the owner of the truck and see if its a P0087. If so he could either need a shim kit or a lift pump. Most likely a lift pump, the fprv's on the LBZ's are pretty good and dont give much trouble.

I double checked with him the first time to make sure it was not a P0087. He was looking at the code reader and said it was showing P0008. The truck also has 260k miles so parts may be starting to fail.

What type of code reader is he using? I have a friend that has an 01 GMC and around 150k miles he started going into limp mode and getting a fuel code. His truck was bone stock. Ends up his CP3 was getting weak, swaped it out and fixed the issue.
