Wherever I am working
The other day I was looking on Wicked's site (at least I think it was their's) and they offer an overdrive CP3 kit for the CR Cummins. I tried making contact with them thru email and no response. The question that I asked was about an overdrive kit for the Duramax. I haven't seen it made available for the DMAX but I am wondering if anybody has done this on a single CP3. It seems like it would be an ok-type of mod for someone who does not desire to go with dual fuelers.

Any opinion or suggestions?

I think they were only for the cummins cause they couldn't turn the rpms that a Dmax can until recently.
Banks was underdriving their pumps to get them to last at whatever RPMs they turn.

The Bosch CP3 starts to fade at 3000. Overdriving it will get you a little more fuel, but will cap your max power at higher RPM, and you'll be spent before 4000.

That is something altogether different than what I am referring to. What I am talking about is a single "remote" pump that could possibly be located in the same spot as the second fueler in a dual system. What I wanna know about is the size of pulley and that type of thing.

What re people's thoughts? I think it would kick ass on a worked over pump, as a single. Especially for those that stay stock short block.

Most importantly, our CP3 is gear driven so overdriving it isn't a simple bolt-on. The ATS dual CP3 kits does overdrive one pump but it appears to make less power than PPE kit which is 1:1.

What about reworking the pump over, Pat? Arson kit or with a wicked pump?

Years ago, I investigated getting parts to make this happen, but it's not a simple thing. The crank, cam, and CP3 all run together on the same gear plane 1:2:1. The CP3 can't be moved down, back, or forward, or flipped easy. An idler gear would reverse the pump direction and it would have to be small. While they do make reverse CP3's they aren't easy to get or cheap.

In the end, a dual fueler is fast and easy, and compared to kit to overdrive a single CP3, it's priced right.

What we really need is a CP3 with twice the factory displacement.

Todd's is a big cp3.4 that II does, not a reg cp3 like in valley. It's huge with nearly double the cap of our cp3 just like pat said he wants. :D
