I am charging at 14.82 volts . I think the truck is shutting itself off to protect the computers from burning out. Any ideas as to why?

Try unhooking the big wire from the alternator and let it run off batteries. I doubt overcharging is your problem but that'd sure eliminate it.

12.2 volts not running, and sitting over night. started it up and 14.8 volts. I have dual alternators so I disco'd 1 of them and the voltage dropped to 14.7 . I was concerned that either alternators regulator might not be working. i will check the charging voltage after getting her warmed up. Maybe the stalling is unrelated. Put in the new motor about a month ago and I am still working out the bugs. Thanks Guys
