Need a little help here, trying to help a customer who is losing his mind.

Working on an 06 LBZ, the truck has compounds, 100 over injectors, built motor, built trans.

You can drive this truck all day at less than 40% throttle. As soon as it lights up, it throws a P0606 and goes into limp.

Has had multiple ECMs & TCMs tried on it. Has had wiring gone through looking for rub throughs or damage. New batteries. Alternator works properly.

We've data logged this turkey and it doesn't do anything at all unusual except this P0606.

Anyone seen this? Have any ideas? Anything?

I can't. It's a locked ECM sold by someone that has been totally useless after the sale. I'm going to have to get a spare stock ECM and try it. My concern then is that the tune will be out to lunch.

well if whoever tuned it has been that helpfull i wouldnt want there tunes on my truck.. I would suggest Trent at epr or dustin at diesel addiction..both great guys. I remember reading about a guy who had the exact problem and it was caused by the B1115 table having numbers above 0 in the top row.

I don't disagree.... Only thing I can do is throw a stock ECM in it I guess. I'm a tranny guy, by no means an EFI expert. I have no idea how to dial this truck in...

You don't need another ecm.

I probably can help you out with the stock file from my library, full flash the stock OS into it and start over, shouldn't be too hard to get it to run.

LBZ ecm's are locked from reading due to the way the DSP5 had to be programmed or the Patch was applied so the tune can't be read on a single OS.

The ecm is still usable.

I realize it's still useable, but I was under the impression I could only over write an EFI Live locked ECM with a Tech 2 (which I do not have immediate access to)?

I do believe there is a spare ECM in my pile.

The ECM if it's from the 2006 is either a single tune or DSP5 and it can be flashed over with EFI-Live.

If you give me the VIN# via PM I probably have the correct stock file from another truck.

I can send it to you in a DSP5 format or single tune format, although that may not help you get a base to start from at least you can tune it yourself.

If the stock tune file eliminates the P0606 code you know the problem was in the tuning
