Alright, I already know the answer to this, but I figured, "Why not ask the guys anyway?".

Coworker's truck. 2002 GMC CC/SB. 90,000-ish miles. Second owner, rarely gets driven except to pull a boat, and not in winter. Truck is a good runner, but is showing white/blue smoke after running a while and sometimes at cold startup. Has run an old Edge J/A almost its entire life.

Main fuel rate bounced between 7.8 and 8 at idle, so thats not a problem. CP3 held rail beautifully, right on desired. Smooth idle. Was NOT smoking while we did our tests.

Rates:
Cyl Idle Drive
1 4.1 7.2 (and climbing as I watched it)
2 -3.9 -5.1
3 -0.9 -2.6
4 0.8 0.8
5 1.3 1.9
6 -4.1 -6.3
7 1.2 1.3
8 1.7 2.5

I told him to start thinking about buying a set of injectors, as 1,2 and 6 are going/gone. Gave him Lincoln's name to buy them from.

There's nobody in the mid-Michigan area that I trust to service a Duramax, so I told him if he buys the parts, we can do the job together.
*sigh* I hate LB7 injectors.

Harder to start when the engines hot?
How hot was the motor when you checked balance rates?

You do know the answer haha. Lb7 injectors aren't that bad. Have him buy hp lines too so you don't waste time cleaning them.

Surprisingly, no. Starts easier than my truck does...but I think that says more about my injectors than his. Normal operating temp.

I just have to go buy a mity-vac for return seal tester.
