Tore it down to do studs, gaskets, send the injectors to exergy to be honed, Hsp 366 kit, modded pump, profab manifolds and up pipes. Truck is a daily driver and he doesn't really want to push the lower limits of the rods. Bottom end wasn't in the budget this time around..

Question he asked was to keep running it or should he pull that piston and stick a stock on back in its home?

I've got a set of lb7 pistons and a set of lbz rods that if it was mine would go in it after the pistons were cut.

Cracked right along the wrist pin. If that was me, I'd replace it.

Change it, I had 3 look like that, the 4th one ended it all.

Replace it with a single used stock piston for now or?


Any idea on causes? It got ran a while with a bad injectors, never added fuel to the oil just hazed at idle. But that was 30k ago..

Probly injectors, that's what was wrong with mine.
