I dropped my stuff off to get painted today, I thought I knew what wanted mostly now I'm getting cold feet. My chrome all had some kind of weird coloring going on, there was copper like colors in spots and I think it was from the previous owner having a goofy looking winter cover on and holding moisture in. So I took the mirrors and lower valance in to be smoothed and color matched, and the front chrome bumper sent out for powder coat. Still unsure what to do with the grille and headlights, was thinking maybe clear the lights or get them tinted.

here is a very crude MS paint sketch, its not my truck but its close enough since I don't have a good front shot. I'm literally lost at this point. They all seem to suck because MS paint makes them look so bad. #3 is what I've had envisioned in my head all along, but #2 looks alright too. All 3 pictures look like there missing something though, I don't think the clear headlights are working for it, my denali grille will probably clash too.:banghead:

Personally I think the color matched mirrors are to much color. Not my style. Number two would be my choice if it was mine.

Personally im a mirror color matched guy either. But if its a must i like 2,3. If i was to do #2 or #3 i would also make the grill match the bumper. Removing the chrome from it. Also id like the smoked or tinted look with that.

In my opinion once u go as far as u are, either a roll pan or painting rear Bumper is also in store.

I drilled out the rivets on the rear bumper and am having the chrome pieces painted red, leaving the factory plastic black. I might do a roll pan in the future, but I like my rear sonar and rear end protection.

I'm with everyone else as far as the mirros go. I would leave them there factory black coloring to match your front black bumper plastic piece and go with option #2. Just ordered a roll pan for my truck yesterday and can not wait for it to come in! :woott:

I don't care for color marched parts too much, its a tough call for me with the renderings you provided, but I guess if I had to pick it would be #2, maybe just cuz its the fuel we burn. lol

Have you toyed with the idea of painting the grille, but leaving the GMC logo and chrome surround alone, and then Leaving the mirrors and lower bumper alone? so just color matching the horizontal black bars...I think that would look sharp

Not a great photo just got it thrown together last night and ran it up to Wisconsin Dells, pretty happy with how it came out, there are a few issues i need to work out but not huge deal. Hands down i think it looks a million times better.

I was gonna say number two looks like a good way to go, but I see i am a little late to the show. Bumper looks good, mirrors... Would have kept them black. Nice look though. I am on a mission to remove crome on my truck.
