How much money do you want to spend???
You asked a broad question too, how bout we start with:hmm: where you live(climate, city or sticks), what you do? Who sees your truck, and how do you want to "stand out"?

i live in nh in the sticks i have all four seasons. money wise idk cuz ill do it over time. and im a welder i use my truck to go just about anywhere so its gota be practical. my truck sticks out in town as it is cuz we dont have many dmaxes around and the ones that are around are beat to hell.

Well, i would weld up some bumpers, add a four inch lift, a stack, led light bar, led tail lights, a cargo rack...
There is a sweet truck thats owned by a welder in the new 8-lug magazine(work truck review. nov. '12')
truck is on the cover, black NBS set up for welding and looks pretty damn good:thumb:

Edit: Things I would change: Tinted/black tail lights and 3rd brake light, remove chrome fuel door and chrome door handles, go with white door handles, remove "2500 HD" emblems off doors, remove "Z71" stickers and totally debadge the tail gate, and tint the front side windows. Also what size tires are you running?

my tires are 33x12.50. where can i get regular white door handles these came on my truck when i bought it so i didnt have a choice wish i coulda tho.

Just pull them and paint them thats what i did.... you can probably buy painted ones from gm to or maybe even ebay

Ditch all the chrome and badges!
Rbp grille and amp research steps, midnight chrome wheels and 35's with a nice lift(the company im thinking of starts with c and ends in o) mount some train horns under the front bumper! And maybe vinyl wrap your roof in carbon black?

X2! Everything he said is exactly what I was thinking! Top it off with a 6" lift on 35s and it would be a clean practical truck
